Starbucks Medicine Ball Copycat Recipe

A couple weeks ago I was starting to lose my voice and grabbed a “medicine ball” drink from Starbucks. It was so soothing! Sweet, fresh, delicious. I’m not a huge tea person, but I couldn’t stop thinking about how good that drink was.

So I did some digging online and found out it’s super easy to make your own version. I've tried this drink with a lot of different kinds of peach and mint tea and they can be made with any brand.  I actually prefer the Celestial Seasonings over the Teavana that Starbucks uses (and it's cheaper).

The Starbucks version cost me $2.87 and my copycat version came in at just $1.08. So excited to be able to make my own each day without having to leave the kitchen.

Don't have lemonade on hand?  I always keep a few boxes of True Lemonade packets and they work great in this drink.  Alternatively, a fresh squeeze of real lemon is great too.

If you love the Starbucks medicine ball, you need this recipe in your life! And if not, you’ll love this hot drink anyway.

Starbucks Medicine Ball Copycat Recipe

  • 1 cup Simply Lemonade (I like the light version)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tea bag peach herbal tea
  • 1 tea bag mint herbal tea
  • 1-2 tsp honey (optional)
  1. Heat lemonade and water in a microwave-safe mug for 2-3 minutes, until steaming hot.

  2. Drop in the tea bags and give it a stir.

  3. Let steep for 3-5 minutes.

  4. Stir in the honey, if using.

If you don't have lemonade, you can add extra water and half of a true lemonade packet or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
